Claims bone spur pain due to weather change was too great and that the White House doctor advised him to avoid walking on uneven ground at the cemetery.

A withering story by the Atlantic on Thursday claimed that that President Donald Trump abruptly cancelled his scheduled plans to join a 2018 ceremony hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris to honor American soldiers who died in World War I because Trump was concerned about the rain's possible effect on his perfectly coiffed hair.
The official reason for the cancellation was that large rainstorms in the area made it unsafe for the presidential Marine helicopter to fly, and that a motorcade was impossible to assemble at the last moment. Whether due to a too-low flight ceiling or worries about a damp head, Trump reportedly amplified his concerns by telling senior aides, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.”
TheObserver.me learned today from an inside source at the office of the White House physician that the actual rationale for aborting the visit to honor the 1,800 U.S. Marines killed in the Bellau Wood battle was the painful effect of the deteriorating weather on the president's bone spurs. The source said Trump called White House doctor Sean Conley that November morning complaining he couldn't sleep the previous night because of throbbing in his heels. Dr. Conley advised against the visit to avoid aggravating the bone spur pain, and because the ground in cemeteries is often uneven which could also affect the president's balance.
Shortly after TheObserver.me asked the White House press office today for a reaction to this new story development, Trump posted on Twitter his confirmation of the bone spur pain: "I would have LOVED to visit the final resting place of so many GREAT PATRIOTS. Some may call them suckers for dying in battle, but not me. My doctor just said my bone spurs couldn't handle a full day on my feet and because I always RESPECT doctors, I decided we had to cancel my visit. Sad. I WOULD HAVE SERVED IF I COULD!"
When asked if the president had any plans to return to France and pay his respects to the Marines buried at Aisne-Marne American Cemetery, press secretary Kayleigh McInerney replied in an email saying, "President Trump appreciates the amazing sacrifices made by the men and women in uniform. If he is re-elected in November, he will consider making another trip to France during the summer when the weather is more predictable."
